What's so special about movement breaks?

The benefits of regular movement are well documented. Most of us know we’d benefit from incorporating a little more movement into our day, whether it’s to un-scrunch a stiff back and neck, get the blood flowing, hit a mental reset button, or just boost our mood and energy!
The reality of actually doing this can be hard, though- it takes time and consistency to build a new habit, and most of us don’t have the mental bandwidth to figure out where to start or what exactly to do.
We created this program to take the guesswork out of this process! We did the thinking for you, so all you need to do is simply hit play, and follow along with fully demonstrated and narrated videos of quick, accessible and fun movement. Each video is just 5 to 6 mins long, so you CAN fit them into your busy day, or even between Zoom meetings.
A movement break can reset your whole body, mindset, and day. We hope you feel and love the benefits, too!
What to expect from this program.
This program consists of quick movement sequences that target common areas of tension: the spine, shoulders, neck, hips and feet. The content is designed to move your body through moderate ranges of motion, maintain and improve mobility, boost focus and concentration, and generally leave you feeling mentally and physically refreshed by encouraging self-care via mindful movement! The entire program was created to be as accessible as possible: no crazy pretzel shapes, headstands, or doing the splits- just effective, simple, well-rounded movement to help you feel good.
Here’s what you need to know:
- The program is 3 weeks long. This is approximately how long it takes to form a new habit, so we hope this program helps you ease into a regular movement and self-care practice!
- Each week includes six movement breaks of 5 to 6 mins each, as well as one 10 minute video focused on helping you relax and wind down
- We target all the common “problem areas”: stiff back/ neck, tense shoulders, tight hips and feet
- The program is self-paced- make your way through at your own speed
- Lifetime access: come back to favorite sequences in perpetuity, as often as you like

Minimal equipment required! You just need a blanket or large beach towel and some wall space. A yoga mat is optional but recommended, so you can get more comfortable.

How do I know if this program is suitable for me?
This program was designed to be as accessible as possible to most people. However, not all movements are suitable for everyone, and if you are at all unsure about whether this program is appropriate for your needs, please consult your medical provider for guidance.
This program may not be suitable for you if:
- You currently have, or have had, a musculoskeletal injury that impacts your ability to move
- Your range of motion is extremely limited for any reason
- You are unable to get up on and off the floor
- You have medical conditions that limit your movement, or contraindicate specific movements
- You are recovering from surgery
- You’ve have joint replacement surgery
